On December 5, 2025 St. Dominic Savio High School came alive with energy and enthusiasm as it celebrated the Primary Annual Sports Festival 2025, showcasing teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and the indomitable spirit of young Savioites.
The event began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by the hoisting of the school flag and the official declaration of the sports festival open by the Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Franco Pereira, who inspired the gathering with the message: “Sports do not build character; they reveal it.” The Solemn Torch, carried by outstanding sportspersons, and the Sportsman’s Prayer and Oath set the tone for a day of fair play and dedication.
The audience was enthralled by lively Zumba performances, graceful routines to “Levitating”, and an impressive skating display by Std. 1 boys. Students of Std. 3 and 4 added to the excitement with a spirited drill to “I’m Better When I’m Dancing.”
Thrilling events including cone relays, potato and water races, hula-hoop challenges, sprints, and relay finals kept spirits high. The Parents and Teachers Event added laughter and friendly competition.
In the Closing Ceremony, Blue House lifted the Overall Championship Trophy. A Vote of Thanks by Principal Mrs. Valerie Mascarenhas and the National Anthem concluded the celebration.
