Turning Trash into Triumph: A Zero-Waste Journey
On 26th September, 2026, at St. Dominic Savio High School, a Zero Waste School session was conducted by Ms. Jagruti Tandel from Project Mumbai under the theme “Trash to Treasure – The Skit & Art Challenge.”
The session aimed to raise awareness about waste and sustainability through creative expression. Students participated with enthusiasm, presenting skits and artwork that highlighted everyday waste problems and suggested practical solutions. Through their skits, they spread awareness about keeping our surroundings clean and showed how careless waste habits harm the environment.
Using recyclable items such as plastic bottles, caps, wrappers, cardboard, and fabric, the children creatively transformed “trash” into useful treasures. With simple materials like glue, scissors, and chart paper, they demonstrated that small actions—like reusing and recycling—can contribute to a cleaner, greener planet.
The session inspired young minds to adopt sustainable habits for a brighter future.
