The Pre-Primary Section celebrated Traditional Day on 14th August 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event aimed to help young learners develop a deeper appreciation of India’s rich cultural heritage and the values of unity and diversity.
Students came dressed in traditional attire representing different regions of the country, creating a vibrant display of colours, cultures, and traditions. The school corridors were beautifully decorated with tricolour-themed displays, adding to the festive spirit of the celebration.
The programme began with students singing patriotic songs such as Saare Jahaan se achcha, followed by the National Anthem as they proudly saluted the national flag. A short video highlighting the significance of Independence Day helped the children understand the importance of the occasion in an engaging manner.
An interactive question and answer session on the map of India, and the tricolour kept the young learners actively involved and eager to participate. The students also enjoyed a lively song on “Unity in Diversity,” which reinforced the message of respecting and celebrating cultural differences. In the art class, the students coloured the national flag and tricolour balloons.
The celebration was a wonderful blend of learning and enjoyment, inspiring the children to take pride in their heritage while fostering respect for the diverse cultures that make India unique. The Traditional Day celebration truly reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism, and cultural awareness among our little Savions.
