Together We Shine: Yellow House Assembly 2026
The Primary Section celebrated Yellow House Day on 6th February 2026. The theme, “Anchored in Hope, Journeying with the Young on the Path of Peace,” with the sub-theme “Peace Begins With Me,” highlighted inner calm, forgiveness and peaceful choices.
The programme began with a warm welcome and garlanding of the Yellow House patron Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. The Prefect introduced the motto, “Be Up and Doing,” reminding all that peace requires action. A prayer song set a serene mood, followed by a speech on Tagore’s life and ideals, linking his vision of fearless minds and true education to peace.
The skit “Our Teacher, Our Peace Guide” showed how conflicts can be solved through self-control and understanding, ending with the message, “Peace begins with ME.” The blindfold dance on ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ carried a strong social message: “Today, our eyes can see the world, but our hearts are often blind to humanity.”The second dance celebrated the motto “Be Up and Doing,” paying tribute to Tagore’s service to the nation and honouring the dedication of community workers.
In his address, Rector and Manager Rev. Fr. Franco Pereira praised the efforts of the Yellow House students and congratulated them for a beautiful assembly. He stressed that peace must be practised daily to prevent unrest and confusion.
