The Pre-Primary Section conducted an important and age-appropriate awareness session on Safe and Unsafe Touch, led by our school counsellors on 20th August 2026.
The session helped the young learners understand the importance of personal safety and body boundaries. Through a simple and engaging demonstration using a human figure, the students were guided about private body parts and the importance of not allowing anyone to touch them inappropriately.
The children were taught a simple safety rule: if a touch ever makes them feel uncomfortable, scared, or unsafe, they should say “NO!” loudly, move away, and immediately tell a trusted adult.
The session also highlighted the concept of a “Safe Circle”, comprising trusted adults such as parents, grandparents, and teachers. The children were encouraged to speak openly with these trusted adults whenever they feel uncomfortable, confused, or unsafe.
To make the learning enjoyable and memorable, the session included demonstrations, simple actions, and a lively action song reinforcing the message of body safety.
The session concluded with an empowering reminder for every child: “My body is special, my body belongs to me, and I have the right to feel safe.”
