From Yells to Knots: A Scout’s Day Out
A one-day Scout Camp was organised for the students of Std. VIII and IX on Thursday, 26th February 2026, on the school premises. The camp was organised and conducted by the school Scout Masters, Sir Alex and Sir Ram, under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Jeswin Mastan. The programme began with assembling and reporting, followed by a flag break ceremony.
The students were trained in patrol formation, patrol system, patrol yells, songs and flag etiquette. They actively participated in Baden-Powell’s six exercises and learnt hand and whistle signals. After lunch, practical sessions on knots, lashing, first aid and bandaging were conducted.
The camp was enriched by the presence of external Scout Masters Sudhir Raul, Jay Prakash Yadav, and Mudassar Siddiqui, and Scout Mistress Keyuri Trivedi. The day concluded with prize distribution and the lowering of the flag with the National Anthem. The camp was informative, disciplined and enjoyable for all participants.
