Fix It, Don’t Ditch It – Reuse for a Better Planet

On 19th December, 2025, at St. Dominic Savio High School, students of enthusiastically participated in a Zero Waste initiative centred on the theme “Fix It, Don’t Ditch It – Reuse for a Better Planet.” The session aimed to highlight reuse as a powerful climate action and an essential step towards sustainable living.

The session began with an interactive discussion on single-use plastics and everyday waste, followed by a short video highlighting the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—and their role in conserving resources and protecting the environment. Students then took part in a hands-on activity in which they creatively made cloth bags from used T-shirts without stitching and painted them with meaningful environmental messages.

The session concluded with a reflection and pledge, encouraging students to replace single-use plastic bags with reusable alternatives and to practise reuse both at home and in school.
