When the rains postponed the Feast of St. Dominic Savio from 6th to 16th July, they only heightened the anticipation for a celebration that beautifully reflected the joy and spirit of the Salesian family.
Across every section of the school, students celebrated in ways that were both meaningful and engaging. Through stories, creative activities, quizzes, games and prayer, the pre-primary and primary sections students discovered that holiness is found in simple acts of kindness, service and responsibility. The secondary students further deepened their understanding through an inter-house quiz on the life of St. Dominic Savio.
The celebrations concluded with a Eucharistic Celebration and an interfaith prayer service centred on the theme, “Do Whatever He Tells You – Faith in Action, Making a Difference.” In his homily, Rector and Manager Rev. Fr. Francisco Pereira encouraged everyone to transform faith into action by being cheerful, committed to their duties and courageous in choosing what is right. Calling each one to become a “CEO of Peace,” he challenged the community to replace grudges with forgiveness and to become beacons of goodness in school and society.
The festivities concluded with games and fellowship among the staff, making it a fitting celebration of the enduring legacy of St. Dominic Savio.
