The Feast of the Nativity of Mother Mary and Girl Child Day were commemorated with a solemn Mass for the Catholic students, along with a meaningful Inter-Faith Prayer Service on Tuesday, 8th September 2026.
The Mass, celebrated by Rev. Fr. John Mascarenhas SVD, reflected on the special place of a mother in our lives through three touching stories. The inspiring story of Don Bosco’s deep devotion to Mother Mary further encouraged the boys to make her a spiritual home and to follow her timeless advice: “Do whatever He tells you.” The students were also invited to pray for their mothers and for every girl in their lives.
The Inter-Faith Prayer Service, centred on “Do Whatever He Tells You – Faith in Action, Making a Difference,” celebrated the dignity, potential and dreams of every girl child. Reflections from different faith traditions, along with the message by Br. Bryce Fernandes and student presentations, inspired the boys to choose respect, equality, encouragement and kindness in their everyday actions
