Beginning the Year with Faith and Hope – First Friday Mass and Prayer Service
After the winter vacation, the students of the secondary section returned to campus by coming together for the First Friday Mass and a meaningful Prayer Service. The Holy Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Lester Fernandes, Vice Rector and Administrator. In his homily, he drew inspiration from the teachings of St. John the Baptist, highlighting the value of repentance and faith. He beautifully explained that the act of washing and cleansing symbolises letting go of past errors and readying oneself for a renewed beginning.
At the same time, students of other faiths participated in a Prayer Service centred on the theme Hope for the New Year. Rev. Fr. Franco Pereira, Rector and Manager, encouraged the students to pause and reflect on the year gone by—their successes, challenges, and lessons learnt. He urged them to look forward with purpose, identify areas of self-improvement, break unhelpful habits, and envision becoming better students, friends, and family members.
Thus, the students stepped into the New Year with renewed clarity, optimism, and determination.
