St. Dominic Savio High School celebrated its Annual Thanksgiving Day on 23rd and 24th January 2026 with hearts full of gratitude and an inspiring theme — “Anchored in Hope: Pilgrims with Young People on the Path of Peace.”
The celebrations opened with a serene prayer dance by our Pre-Primary students, reminding everyone that faith is the anchor that steadies every journey. Joyful welcome dances by the Primary students filled the evening with colour and cheer, while the School Captain expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Management for their constant guidance. Scholarships awarded to deserving students highlighted the school’s commitment to encouraging excellence and perseverance.
Day Two was marked by honour and appreciation. The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Flovi D’Souza, Principal of Don Bosco High School, Matunga and Provincial Councillor of the Mumbai Province, inspired the gathering with his message on choosing hope and peace even in difficult times. He appreciated the school’s efforts in shaping young people through values-based education and creative expression.
Ms. Manisha Agarwal was felicitated for completing 25 years of devoted service, and the founding members of the Evening Study Classes were honoured for their noble mission of educating the underprivileged.
The highlight was the musical play “A Voyage of Hope,” creatively written and directed by members of the teaching staff. Through the Lighthouse Keeper and the Captain, the message was clear — faith, forgiveness and unity can guide us safely through life’s storms.
With gratitude in every step and hope in every heart, St. Dominic Savio High School sailed forward as a community truly anchored in peace.
