The Annual General Body Meeting of the Pre-Primary Section was convened on Monday, 13th July 2026, in the Assembly Hall. The meeting was presided over by the Principal, Ms. Valerie Mascarenhas, and the Rector and Manager, Rev. Fr. Franco Pereira. The proceedings commenced with a prayer service led by various stakeholders, seeking divine blessings for the forthcoming academic year.
In his address, Rev. Fr. Franco Pereira extended a warm welcome to the parents and introduced the Management Team. He acknowledged the commendable service rendered by the staff and extended felicitations to the SSC toppers, both day scholars and evening study students, for their exemplary performance. Referring to the Salesian Strenna for the year, *”Do Whatever He Tells You — Faith in Action: Making a Difference,”* he urged parents to devote quality time to their children during these formative years and to regulate the use of digital devices. He reiterated that active collaboration and shared commitment between home and school are fundamental to the holistic development of every child.
The Principal, Ms. Valerie Mascarenhas, introduced the Leadership Team, teaching faculty, and support staff. She presented a comprehensive overview of the academic themes, sub-themes, and key activities conducted during the first month of school. Emphasising the importance of early literacy, she encouraged parents to engage in regular reading of age-appropriate literature to enhance their children’s vocabulary. A school-readiness checklist encompassing daily routines, social competencies, the early identification of learning needs, and well-being support measures was also disseminated. Additionally, practical strategies for positive parenting were shared to enable parents to foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment at home.
The meeting concluded with the election of class representatives, followed by interactive sessions between teachers and parents in their respective classrooms.
