On 29th June 2026, the students of the Secondary Section participated in an informative session conducted by volunteers – Ms Shikha, Ms Akanksha and Mr. Harold, from Project Mumbai. The session served as a reminder that our school is a proud Zero Waste School. Through engaging discussions, students revisited the concepts of landfills, waste segregation, and the Four R’s—Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle—with special emphasis on Refuse as the first step towards sustainable living. The volunteers also shared practical strategies on collecting plastic waste responsibly and preserving it for the school’s Waste Collection Drives instead of disposing it off carelessly.
Principal, Ms Valerie Mascarenhas then briefed the students on the various waste collection initiatives planned for the year. This was followed by a special session for the selected members of the Project Mumbai Group, focusing on the initiative’s vision, the role of Eco-Warriors, and transforming waste into valuable resources through recycling and circular economy practices.
