Hindi Diwas: Honouring our National Language.

St. Dominic Savio High School celebrated Hindi Diwas through a special intercom assembly. The programme began with a prayer as a reminder for positivity and faith which for followed by the pledge which was said in the Hindi Language.

Students highlighted the importance of Hindi Diwas, i.e. 14th September 1949, Hindi written in Devanagari script was declared the official language of the Union Government. One of the anchoring lines beautifully expressed, “जगह कोई भी हो, हिंदी हमारी पहचान है।”

A poem on Hindi was recited celebrating the beauty of the language. Interesting facts were also shared, such as Hindi being the third most spoken language in the world and its introduction at the United Nations by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1977.

The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired to value and promote Hindi as a symbol of unity and identity.
