With the commencement of the new academic year, St. Dominic Savio High School inaugurated the Secondary Section House System for the academic year 2026–2027 on 1st July, marking the beginning of a new chapter of student leadership, responsibility and teamwork.
The programme began with the welcome of dignitaries and an introduction to the House System under the theme, “Do Whatever He Tells You – Faith in Action, Making a Difference.” This was followed by the introduction, investiture, and oath-taking of the Student Core Council, House leaders, and House patrons.
Rev. Fr. Francisco Pereira, Rector and Manager, thanked the teachers in charge and congratulated the Student Council and House leaders. He encouraged them to lead with responsibility, uphold the school’s values, wear the school emblem with pride, foster healthy competition, support one another, seek guidance when needed, and draw inspiration from St. Dominic Savio.
A special moment of the ceremony was the Scholarship Distribution, where deserving students were recognised for their academic excellence and dedicated efforts.
The ceremony concluded with the official declaration of the House System open for the year 2026–2027.
