On Wednesday,7th December 2016 we celebrated Yellow House day keeping the theme Love, the house teachers planned assembly to honour Grandparents calling it as Grandparents Day.
Yes indeed! It’s an honour and privilege to celebrate our Grandparents Day.The assembly began with the garlanding the picture of their house leader Rabindranath Tagore. A video clipping on life of Rabindranath Tagore was shown in the assembly followed by a story and song dedicated to grandparents. Mrs. Hazel Remedios, grandmother of Nicolai Pereira narrated a beautiful story and also made students do an action song. Those feet tapping moments added colour to the assembly. Our Rector and Principal Rev. Fr. Crispino D’souza addressed the gathering and advised students why it is important to respect and love our grandparents. Fr. Principal then added that the human lifecycle in its old age brings back the dependence as it was in one’s childhood and thanked Mrs. Remidios for the beautiful story sharing
After the assembly, grandparents were lead into the classroom to see and cherish their grandchildren’s work which was meticulously planned out by the house teacher Ms. Mary D’souza and Ms. Treilee Pires. It’s lovely to see the excitement in children as well as in grandparents! Thank you, Ms. Mary and Ms. Treilee for a very happy assembly and Grandparent Day!
