A workshop, “Around the world “ was conducted by Beyond Academics for Std II on Monday the 18th of September 2017 at 10: 15 a.m. The importance of the seven continents along with a power-point presentation of the world map was briefly introduced to the students. They were taken on a tour in the classroom itself to four different countries teaching the students about the flag and its meaning, the language spoken, the capital and the currency of Australia, Europe, Japan and England making them aware that a passport is needed as identification to visit any foreign country. Each student was given a fake passport where they had to write their names and four countries they visited during the workshop. They enjoyed and were excited as a lot of knowledge was imparted in various art forms like, ‘The Dot Art’ in Australia and ‘Pochibukuro’ in Japan. The workshop was very creative and child centred and well conducted.
