His spirit; His power
His peace and his presence
through him, we can be assured of Don Bosco’s presence in our midst.
The Savion Family warmly welcomed Rev. Fr. Savio Silveira, the 11th Provincial of the Salesian Mumbai Province. To commemorate this solemn occasion, the students of STD VI presented their class assembly on ‘Holiness even for you, as we cherish, celebrate and care for our NEIGHBOUR.’ Through song and drama the assembly brought out three important aspects of a good neighbour – respectful, helpful and friendly. As part of their project, the students visited the Cheshire Home in our neighbourhood and shared their experiences through a short video.
The school report was presented by the School Vice Captain Mast. Dean Martis and a feng shui bamboo shoot was gifted to Fr. Provincial by the Junior School Captain, Mast. Vedant Zagade.
In his address, Fr. Provincial congratulated the Management, Staff & Students on their accomplishments and brought out the importance of being a good neighbour.
In his address to the Management & Staff, Fr. Provincial encouraged them to focus on two fundamentals of a good Salesian school – caring for the young entrusted to their care and making them responsible citizens who will not only fend for themselves but also help others when opportunity provides.
It was indeed a blessed visitation for all at St. Dominic Savio High School.
