Virtual Class Assembly Std X
30th September 2020
Class assemblies are one of the most important aspects of the school co-curricular activities. Since schools are not be able to have in person school assemblies in this pandemic, students need enriching remote virtual school assemblies now more than ever. With these stressful times, students need a degree of normalcy.
Keeping this in mind, St. Dominic Savio High School has ventured on the path of putting the theme of the academic year into practice through the class assemblies.
On 30th September 2020, the students of STD X under the able guidance of their teachers – Ms Arlene, Sir Sharma and Ms Manisha staged an assembly on the theme “Good Human beings and Upright citizens consists of being able to listen and feel for another.” Through a short skit, the students enacted practical ways in which the theme could be put into practice in our new online world. Our Rector & Manager, Rev. Fr. Brian Moras shared his thoughts and explained the importance of listening to each other.
The virtual assembly enabled short and meaningful discussions by the respective class teachers on the theme of the assembly and the take away from it. An online quiz was conducted as a quick check on the ability to listen and comprehend the message brought out through the assembly. This was followed by the singing of the school anthem.
