On Wednesday the 29th of November 2017, Ms. Katie Bagli was invited to our school, as a resource person, to speak to the students of Std 3 and 4. Ms. Bagli is a lover of nature and an author, who enjoys writing about her passion-Nature and Wildlife. She spoke at length about the various books she worte and also shared many interesting facts about animals and birds. She told us how animals helped to maintain a balance in nature, from one of her collection, ‘The Less Liked Lovables’ in the form of a power point presentation which helped us to clarify so many of our doubts and misconceptions on animals. We really enjoyed the talk, because we realized how fascinating and varied nature is !
The whole day was packed with fun filled activities and it was a sheer delight to see the children and teachers dressed up as different characters form different stories. Each class teacher was involved in taking the students to the next level by encouraging students to enjoy reading and listening to stories. The students took an active participation in drawing and doodling characters of all kinds of stories. The teachers divided the class into groups and conducted group activities according to their houses. They also had a quiz planned for each class. The students were made to enact a few stories. The students carried out sequencing of a story through pictures. The were happy and enjoyed the fun activities.
