To develop a reading culture in St. Dominic Savio High School, everyday 15mins of reading time is alloted in the timetable at the end of the day. The Reuphoria Festival was held on 7th December, 2015 from 7.30am to 1.45pm, to channelize and stimulate an interest for reading in the kids. The day began with an inaugural assembly where our Rector and Principal Rev. Fr. Crispino D'Souza, along with the Vice Principal, Supervisor of the Secondary Section and Mrs Dalbir Kaur, proprietor of Oneup Library, Bookstore and Experience Centre and co-partner of the Reuphoria Festival inaugrated the Festival with the cutting of a cake. Through the day, there were a number of competitions and activities for students and parents and guest author sessions by authors RamG Vallath, Shabnam Minawala, Parinita Shetty and Meghna Singhee. The authors even autographed several copies of their books. A script writing competition was held by the Institute of Creative Excellence (ICE). We also had parent volunteers to help in the smooth execution of these activities. It was a day of festivity and a lot of learning.
