On 16th September 2016, the entire school assembled in the Assembly Hall to welcome Rev. Fr. Maria Arokiam Kanaga SDB, Regional Councillor for South Asia. The school captain, Mast. Glenn Lewis read out the annual report giving a glimpse of the happenings at the St. Dominic Savio High School. The same was presented to Rev. Fr. Maria A. Kanaga with a floral tribute.
Our Rector and Principal, Rev. Fr. Crispino D’Souza introduced Rev. Fr. Maria A. Kanaga as a highly qualified man yet humble and simple in his ways.
In his address to the students, Rev. Fr. Maria A. Kanaga shared a couple of instances from school life that tickled our funny bones and kept the students alert, while sharing the WWW – wake up, work hard and worship technique to gain success.
The assembly was followed by the planting of a sapling by Rev. Maria A. Kanaga on the school grounds.
In his meeting with the staff at 2pm in the AV hall, Rev. Fr. Maria A. Kanaga thanked the teachers for all that they do and encouraged them to continue developing the family spirit in this institution.
A big thank you to Ms Swati, Ms Arlene, Ms Renilda and Ms Sarita, along with their group of students for co-ordinating the assembly and planting of the sapling program.
