Traditional Day. 13th August, 2016
Students came dressed in traditional clothes to celebrate traditional day. Some of them even came dressed up as their favourite national leaders and freedom fighters like Lokmanya Tilak, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, etc. They even recited a few lines about the personality that they came dressed up as for the celebration. Later the children were shown an audio-visual on Independence Day and Mrs. Helen Fernandes, the supervisor, explained to the students about the importance of the Indian national flag and how we attained freedom from the British rule. The whole section was also decorated in the Indian tricolour. The students also sang patriotic songs like ‘Nanna munna rahi hoon’, ‘Raise the flag’ etc.
