School bells are ringing loud and clear; vacation’s over, school is here.”
The school building came to life with the smiles, laughter and cheer of the kids as they stepped back into school after a long summer break.
The dignitaries, Rector and Principal Rev. Fr. Crispino D’Souza and the Supervisor, Mrs. Valerie were welcomed by the compères for the inaugural assembly 2016-2017 conducted by the students under the able guidance of Ms Arlene and Ms Renilda. The assembly began by invoking God’s presence on the gathering with the solemn lighting of the lamp followed by prayer.
Fr. Crispino welcomed the staff and students, introduced the new members of the management team and staff and gave a few insights into the events and new practices to look forward to this year. He also introduced the Theme of the year – Mercy by saying, “If you do not love, you cannot be merciful.” On a concluding note, he extended his best wishes to the staff and students for the new academic year.
The students then went to their respective classes where they were given the time table and they left for home at 9.30am.
The staff of all the sections met in the AV hall and the Rector and Principal, Rev Fr Crispino D’Souza, once again introduced the new members of the management and staff. He congratulated the staff for the SSC results 2015-2016.
After a few set of reminders, the gathering broke into groups to discuss on important projects taken up this year.
Fr Crispino ended the meeting on a note of gratitude and warm wishes for the New Year.
